Do you want to meet people and have fun? Then volunteer at Grand Rapids Beer City Beer Fest for us. This is The Midwest's Premier Beer Festival. All volunteers receive FREE admission on the day they volunteer.
Volunteers are needed at Grand Rapids Beer City Beer Fest for a variety of events, and we have plenty this year. Please indicate the days or events you wish to volunteer, also, please take this time to fill out the question or comments section of the Volunteer Form.
Just complete the form and I will contact you with more information. Don't forget to include your telephone number and email address on the form.
There will be a couple of Volunteer meetings TBA. If you can attend, this is a good source of information and exchange of questions and ideas. Again, thanks for volunteering!
As you can imagine or have experienced, it takes many people to put on an event the size of Grand Rapids Beer City Beer Fest®. Come help as a volunteer and take part in the non-stop music, competitions, and fun! There are shifts available the week before the Event, Monday through Thursday and shifts available during the Event, Thursday thru Sunday. Some of the volunteer positions for Grand Rapids Beer City Beer Fest®:

If you would like to volunteer to work during Grand Rapids Beer City Beer Fest, here is some information you need to know.
If you volunteer, you are expected to:
• Work a minimum of a 5-hour shift. (Due to the enjoyment most people experience, many people will sign up for multiple shifts.)
• Report to the Volunteer Tent at the entrance 15 minutes prior to your shift to receive your t-shirt and fill out your release form.
• Remain at your post until relieved of your responsibility by another volunteer or the Staff Volunteer Coordinator.
If you volunteer you will receive:
• A Big Thank You, praise and appreciation from Grand Rapids Beer City Beer Fest!
• Free admission to event site for the day(s) you are working.
• Work two 5-hour shifts in one day, you'll probably get some food.
• Work all day and you'll get tired as us...
We are constantly looking for enthusiastic individuals to volunteer during the event! While we will try to schedule you for the area you've requested, there many areas that we need volunteers for and we need everyone to be flexible and go wherever you are needed. Please indicate the days/times you are available and if you have any physical restrictions that would prevent you from performing a certain activity. You will be placed where needed when you report for your shift.
Typical volunteer duties and locations include:
VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Duties: As volunteers arrive for their shifts, register them by having them sign a booklet and fill in emergency contact info; have them sign a waiver to be included in our insurance policy for the weekend; give them T-shirts and water and send them to their shift site.
Place: All volunteers will check-in at the Welcome Tent.
Duties: Put wristbands on patrons once IDs have been checked and approved. Be a watchdog! Stop anyone who does not have a wristband from entering the Grand Rapids Beer City Beer Fest
Place: Main Entrance
Duties: You will being pouring the 3oz serving of 1 or 2 different craft beers. you will also be responsible for collecting a drink ticket for each serving.
